Monika is a Co-Founder and Partner of TALIENS Germany.

Monika advises clients from the technology, media, and other industries.

She advises on, drafts and negotiates a wide range of agreements: This includes advising on the development, production, financing, acquisition, and exploitation of content across all platforms and devices. She also advises on patent and trademark licensing agreements, software licensing and other IT agreements, outsourcing agreements, R&D agreements, security agreements, joint ventures, and settlement agreements. She works closely with TALIENS’ patent litigation team when drafting licensing agreements and counter offers according to FRAND principles.

Monika also provides strategic advice on the protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights, know-how and trade secrets and advises on all types of copyright issues. She has extensive experience with intellectual property issues in insolvency situations and transactions.

Before co-founding TALIENS in 2017, Monika was a Counsel in the Media, Communications and Technology group at Olswang. She worked for more than 12 years in the Berlin, Munich and London offices of international law firms and started her career at Linklaters.

Monika holds a PhD in Copyright Law from the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property Law in Munich and a Master in European Audiovisual Management from the Media Business School in Ronda (Spain). She was admitted to the bar in 2003.
