Monika is a Co-Founder and Partner at TALIENS Germany.
Monika advises her national and international clients on a broad range of agreements in the area of intellectual property rights: This includes advising on the development, production, financing, acquisition, and exploitation of content over all platforms and devices. In addition, she advises on patent and trademark licensing agreements, software licensing and other IT agreements, outsourcing agreements, R&D agreements, security agreements, joint ventures, and settlement agreements. She works closely with the patent litigation team at TALIENS when drafting licensing agreements and counter-offers according to FRAND principles.
Monika also provides strategic advice concerning the protection and exploitation of IP rights, know-how and trade secrets and advises on all sorts of copyright-related questions. She has extensive experience with intellectual property issues in insolvency situations and transactions.
Before co-founding TALIENS in 2017, Monika worked for twelve years in the Berlin, Munich, and London offices of two international law firms and was a counsel in the Media, Communications & Technology Group. After finishing her legal studies in Munich in 1999, she worked as a paralegal in the finance team of another international law firm in London. Monika was admitted to the bar in 2003.
Monika holds a Ph.D. in copyright law from the Max-Planck Institute for Intellectual Property Law in Munich and a Master in European Audiovisual Management from the Media Business School in Ronda (Spain).
