Co-founder of TALIENS Germany, Monika specializes on transactional and advisory work.

She advises on, drafts and negotiates a wide range of agreements: this includes advising on the development, production, financing, acquisition, and exploitation of content across all platforms and devices. She also advises on patent and trademark licensing agreements, software licensing and other IT agreements, R&D agreements, security agreements, joint ventures, and settlement agreements. She works closely with TALIENS’ patent litigation team when drafting licensing agreements and counter offers according to FRAND principles.

She regularly advises clients on the IP aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships and drafts agreements and conducts due diligence reviews to facilitate successful business transactions involving IP assets. She also has extensive experience with IP rights in insolvency situations.

Monika also provides strategic advice on the protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights, know-how and trade secrets. In addition, she regularly advises on AI technologies.

Before co-founding TALIENS Monika worked in the Berlin, Munich and London offices of two international law firms.

Monika holds a PhD in Copyright Law from the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property Law in Munich and a Master in European Audiovisual Management from the Media Business School in Ronda (Spain).
