Tobias is a German and Italian qualified attorney.
He represents clients in the fields of automotive, cosmetics, food & beverage, telecommunications, media & entertainment/sports and fashion in infringement and anti-counterfeiting proceedings before German courts. In addition, he administers international trademark and design portfolios and advises his clients on IP related matters within transactions/due diligence proceedings. He also advises on plant varieties and on general litigation/arbitration matters.
A particular focus of Tobias’ work lies on proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxemburg.
He is a domain name panelist at World Intellectual Property Organization (Geneva), the Czech Arbitration Court (Prague), the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre (Hong Kong) and MFSD (Milan).
Tobias regularly publishes on topics of IP and international commerce. He is a lecturer for IP at the University of applied sciences in Treves since 2007 and regularly holds seminars at different international universities and institutions.
Prior to joining TALIENS in 2018, Tobias headed the IP practice of a Munich based boutique firm (2009-2018) and worked as an associate in the trademark litigation group of a leading international firm (2004-2009). He holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University in Mainz (Germany) and received a French university degree (Maîtrise en droit) from Paris XII University.
Tobias is yearly ranked as one of the world’s leading trademark professionals (WTR 1000) and selected to ‘WIPR Leaders’ handbook”, Legal 500 and Managing Intellectual Property’s annual “IP Stars”-guide.
