TALIENS is delighted to announce today the appointment of renowned IP disputes partner Grégoire Triet to its Paris office.

Grégoire joins TALIENS from French commercial law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel. He was a partner at Gide for 32 years and established and headed its leading Intellectual Property practice.

Grégoire specialises in patent, trade secrets and trademark law, representing French and international clients across a range of industries including the healthcare, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, commodities, industrials and TMT sectors.

He has broad experience in French and pan-European patent disputes, particularly in relation to patent infringement and validity disputes. He also has expertise in handling copyright and unfair competition cases, as well as trademark law and infringements.

Grégoire commented: “I am pleased to have joined TALIENS’ Paris office as partner. Intellectual Property is a fast moving area of law and with the forthcoming Unified Patent Court in the EU, no doubt our presences across Europe with offices both in Paris and Munich will further strengthen our unique proposition to clients seeking to bring or defend patent claims in the EU.”

Commenting on Grégoire’s appointment, Jean-Frédéric Gaultier, co-founding partner of the TALIENS Paris office with Clara Steinitz, said: “Grégoire’s reputation in the Paris and international markets precedes him and we are delighted he has joined TALIENS. His market leading expertise in patent disputes will further strengthen our capabilities here and offers to our clients unparalleled experience.”

From its offices in Munich and Paris, TALIENS specialises in intellectual property disputes, protection and contractual negotiations. The firm now comprises eight partners across its two offices and a team of counsels and associates.
